Bats
Hi,
Welcome to my new gallery "BATS".
For the past few weeks we were noticing that our Hummingbird feeders were empty in the morning and we knew they had nectar in them when we went to bed the night before.
Several days ago my wife Jayne was looking out the back kitchen window, late in the evening, and her eye caught something flying past the window. When she turned the back
porch light on she saw the most interesting sight. About a dozen bats flying around and some of them clinging onto one of our hummingbird feeders.
I hope you enjoy the photos. I'll be posting more over the next few weeks so keep coming back to see what's new.
Thanks
Rob

Pretty cool shot of a few of the bats that are raising their young this year under the Campbell St Bridge at River Rd here in Tucson. They stay here during the summer months to raise their babies. There are about 40,000 of these guys that sleep between the concrete slabs underneath the bridge... I've never seen anything like this.

on January 3, 2015When the saguaro's bloom in the spring that would be a great flower to use for the bats, load it up with hector and use your photo trap!
